Ray Shero put the offer in sometime Tuesday evening. Rob Rossi and Josh Yohe have been all over this thing since day one. Shero declined to disclose the financial terms, but word around the block says that the deal is for 1 year and $2 million, which has been consistent since this thing has started. Great summary article by Yohe of the Trib here. Some quotes though:
"He was an icon in Pittsburgh," Shero said. "We'd like to see him finish his career here."
"We made our offer," Shero said. "It's an offer that really isn't going to change. We only have so much to spend. We'll see what happens. The agent (Petr Svoboda) said it isn't about the money for Jaromir. He said it's about the fit."

All in all it sounds like the Pens are all in on the river to bring Jagr back for a farewell tour in Pittsburgh. It is a really cool thing as a fan, seeing a guy that many of us pretended to be as kids in the rink and in our driveways. He is a great addition that should provide some spark on the power play. However, he cannot be considered to be "the guy," anymore and the Pens need to look elsewhere for another winger and likely have some room under the salary cap to do so.
Tyler Kenned reportedly wants somewhere close to $3 million. That's right, TK, wants $3 million. He will likely get it from some team, as the lower echelon of teams need to spend money to meet the cap floor. He won't get it from Pittsburgh and if he does, it's a disgrace for the game. TK is not worth that money. He's not going to crack our top 6 anytime soon unless we face injuries like we did last year. However, the Pens need to bring in a winger to replace him and add more depth to the roster. If they do, and taking into the consideration of adding Jagr, the Pens could have the depth upfront to do something special this year because we are very solid on the blue line and in between the pipes. Now its just a waiting game and what the city's prodigal son decides.
Before sure to follow Rob Rossi (@RobRossi_Trib) and Josh Yohe (JoshYohe_Trib) on Twitter. They have been giving us unprecedented updates since day one. They get that Twitter is a legitimate outlet for hockey fans, and we have been granted access to their thoughts and knowledge on the whole situation.
Until we hear, I'll leave you guys with this video that has been floating around:
Rossi at one point was in the hospital for knee surgery and still providing he followers with input and updates. It has been an unreal performance
Here are a couple of videos to get your minds right.
