GameDay Game #8: Penguins @ Wild

Before you read this post look at your calendar and notice what month it is. Yes, it is still october. A three game losing streak would not be the end of the world. The Pens are dealing with another long list of injuries and will be without Kris Letang who is suspended for two games.

The Penguins travel to Minnesota to take on the Wild tonight, facing the possibility of their first losing streak of the season.

Former Penguins' assistance coach Mike Yeo is now the head coach of the Wild.

Dan Bylsma has yet to defeat the Minnesota wild, and the Penguins are riding a three game losing streak against the team.  The Penguins are 2-9-1 all-time against the wild and haven't beaten them since the 2007 season.

The Wild lost 3-2 in overtime to detroit in their last game played on Saturday night.

Last Meeting: The Penguins lost 4-0 Last year. One of the most miserable games ever.

POFA's Notes
When things get bad during a hockey season, things tend to get really bad. Here we are with seven games under our belts and we are dealign with injuries, and suspensions.

Get your heads right. It's only October, and we have a long road ahead of us, and it is one that includes the return of Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Tyler Kennedy, and Brooks Orpik.

The Pens will be fine.
