GameDay Game #9: Penguins v. Canadians

The Montreal Canadians come to town tonight with the puck set to drop at 7:00 PM. The Penguins welcome back Brooks Orpik to the lineup, and it couldn't come at a better time. The Penguins have been battling injuries and a suspension through the first eight games of the season, so anyone who can be inserted back into the lineup is a welcomed addition.

After splitting games on a back-to-back road-trip, the Penguins return to their home ice looking to win consecutive games for the second time this season, as well as snap a two-game home losing streak.

Brooks Orpik will return to the lineup. Tyler Kennedy and Evgeni Malkin will not be in the lineup this evening as they are suffering from a concussion and a knee injury respectively.

James Neal had a maintenance day and missed the morning skate, but will be in the lineup this evening.

Dustin Jeffrey is getting closer to returning to this lineup, and has amped up his practice routine.

Sidney Crosby is still progressing and has yet to suffer any setbacks on route to his comeback from the concussion he suffered this past January.

Brian Srait suffered a hyper-extended elbow during the second period of Tuesday night's game against the Minnesota Wild and will be out for a few weeks.

Kris Letang will miss tonight's game as the final game of his two game suspension, and will be eligible to return to the lineup Saturday night against the Devils.

Last Meeting: The Habs shutout the Penguins 3-0 in Pittsburgh. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped only nine of twelve shots and was pulled for backup Brent Johnson. The Penguins went 1-2-1 last year against the Habs.
